Principal’s Welcome

Mrs Chikondi Mponda

The truth of God’s word relates to every aspect of our lives. Because of this, we take great pride in our Christ-centered curriculum which goes beyond teaching fundamental academic skills and trains the whole child; academically, physically, emotionally and spiritually

With a team of well trained and dedicated staff, we focus on supporting and nurturing all areas of our learners’ development. We take pride in our learners, the Royal Inheritors, as they are our best ambassadors out in the world.

We are always delighted to welcome new parents who desire to see a meaningful growth in their child. I hope this website gives you more insight and encourages you to give us a visit.

Our School Life

Curriculum

To ensure balanced, absorbable and meaningful learning, RHA use two complementary curricula; the core and the extra curriculum.

Kindergarten

Our kindergarten consists of 4 classes; K2, K3, K4, and K5. These classes have children aged two, three, four, and five respectively.

Primary

Our primary school consists of six classes; grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. These classes train students in Language Arts, Arithmetic, history, science, health science and Creative arts.

Facilities

Here at the royal heritage Academy, we have excellent facilities that support both our core and extra curricula.

Spiritual Training

RHA prioritizes Bible and prayer as foundations for a Christ-centred curriculum.  The school’s anthem is “In Christ Alone”.  This is a contemporary song that places Christ as the source, centre and meaning of life.  Staff members start every day with devotion and classes start with anthem and prayer.

Most special events are designed around the narrative of Bible stories and the Glory of God.

Physical Training

Physical life is encouraged for ensuring healthy and fit students.  This is done in many ways.  Sports helps the learners to physically get involved. Football, netball, golf, swimming among others are key sports that have their facilities available on campus. These games help with proactiveness and ability to be competitive.  Annually, RHA participates in inter-school swimming competition.  This helps significantly with fitness and goals setting.

Social Training

Learners are helped to build a world view that helps them to live in a social environment without compromising their Christ-centred values.

Students spend time to interact as they have their class time, sports and school events.  They learn to solve problems; they learn to respect other people’s views; they learn to be each other’s keeper.  Participation in sports helps them with managing defeat and wins as a general principle.

COVID 19 response committee

To tackle the growing burden of the COVID-19 pandemic, RHA came up with a response committee. This committee consists of parents who have children at the school and that work in the health sector and members of staff from the Royal Heritage academy.

The committee has helped us in setting up hand washing stations, temperature checkpoints, and a response protocol in the event of a suspected case on campus among other interventions. Hand-washing with soap at critical times, sanitizing and face mask wearing is normalized.
